Are you committed to Yale University already? Soccer scholarship? How come so early?

CHLOE LAUREANO

" Yes, I have verbally committed to attend Yale University as a Student-Athlete, however, Ivy League rules do not allow for awards of athletic scholarships. Instead, I will receive financial aid like all other students at Yale. Ivy League schools aim to treat all students equally. At Yale students-athletes like all other students must live up to the high academic standards of the university...

College recruiting for the most talented female soccer players is highly competitive, and in recent years the recruiting has started earlier than in years past. I was not interested in committing early, but rather finding the perfect-fit school for me. I was looking for a school that would offer the best education, together with a high-level of soccer. In addition, I wanted to experience traditional campus life in a unique college town...

When I met the Yale coaching staff I immediately felt comfortable with them and their style of play"...
