La Portera californiana, Christina Holguin, regresa a jugar a la LigaPR por segundo año seguido con Puerto Rico Sol.

Holguin llegará a la Isla este miércoles. El año pasado ayudó al Sol a ganar el campeonato de la principal liga de Fútbol Femenino del País permitiendo tan sólo 3 goles en 21 partidos.

"I’m returning because of multiple reasons. I agree with Puerto Rico Sol's mission and vision for the league. The league is growing for the better and I want to be part of the history that will be taking place there in the years to come," comentó Christina Holguin a QuePalo.com

"Also, Sol has been good to me and they have provided me the opportunity to play with them this past year and continue my soccer career so I have a sense of loyalty toward the club, the coaches, and everyone else involved."

La Portera viene de jugar el pasado verano en la WPSL en Estados Unidos con el FC Golden State, en California. Recientemente estuvo en México entrenando 10 días en la Liga MX Femenil nada menos que con el Club América Femenil.

"It was a great experience in Mexico with América! The Training environment was very professional, their facility was great, they had multiple training fields both real and fake grass," relató Christina.

"I definitely see LigaPR going in that direction within time if they work toward it. The whole experience was great! I was a little intimidated at first going out there, but Coach Cuellar was a very humble / nice man, and everything worked out just fine," concluyó Holguin.

La defensa del campeonato de Puerto Rico Sol comienza este próximo domingo 20 del corriente cuando visiten al Leal Arecibo. Ocho equipos participarán de la Liga PR de la Federación Puertorriqueña de Fútbol.
