How can you describe your experience playing last month for the PR WNT? Tell me about your teammates, being so long in Puerto Rico for the first time, and the two FIFA games played..

» GABRIELA PADILLA «

"The experience was surreal. It was always a dream of mine to play at a national team level. The girls on the team welcomed me with open arms and accepted me like family right away, although i was one of the newbies on the team it really didn’t feel like that at all...

Seeing the crowd when we got to the Juan Ramon Loubriel with their vibrance and cheers was great!! Also seeing my supportive grandparents that live on the island after the game was undoubtedly one of the most wholesome experiences I have ever had...

I loved staying at the Olympic Training Center in Salinas where we did the majority of our training. Since I’m a senior in high school, I won’t lie it was hectic at times trying to keep up with high school work, studying late, and having to make up tests once I got back to Texas, but in the end it was all worth it."

» GABRIELA PADILLA «

"I was super happy when I saw her Instagram post. I believe she has done so much for women's soccer and for the USA team. She just came back from winning a world cup and it’s great to see that she is taking time for family."
