Jasmine Casarez se estrenó con gol en su primer partido en la LIga Puerto Rico de Fútbol Superior Femenino. Lo hizo en el 2do tiempo, como parte de la victoria 4-0 del PR Sol sobre Caribbean Stars el domingo en Mayagüez.

Casarez, medio campo, es una de 5 futbolistas importadas que visten los colores del club de José Luís Pérez y Shek Borkowski. Junto a Jasmine también están la portera Christina Holguin, la defensa central Haley Helverson, la medio campo Claire Winter, y la delantera McKenzie Cook.

"Jasmine was an end line to end line player. She works non stop up and down the field. She has an unbelievable work rate defensively and attacking. She is a great attacking mid that is a nightmare for other teams to deal with. She is good technically but her biggest positive is her will to compete."

Coach Sohrabi también abundó sobre el estilo de ataque de Casarez.

"She played attacking mid for us. She scores a lot of goals getting behind defenders with her work rate. She is also very strong in her heading game, whether winning 50/50s or scoring with her head. She is the type of player that as a coach you appreciate her more and more each time she competes," culminó el entrenador de las Highlanders de Radford University.

Casarez y el Sol reciben este sábado a las 5 pm a las Vaqueras del Bayamón FC en el estadio Centroamericano en Mayagüez.
