"I would be so lucky as to represent my heritage by playing for Puerto Rico and elevate my game in such an amazing atmosphere!!," exclamó Juelle Love, a preguntas de QuePalo.com, sobre la posibilidad de ser convocada para la Selección Nacional de Fútbol Femenino de Puerto Rico.

Su nombre completo es Juelle Love Espinal. Su abuela materna es puertorriqueña. Ya Juelle fue invitada a un campamento de visorías en el Albergue Olímpico en Salinas en marzo pasado bajo el entonces director técnico del programa femenino de fútbol, David Guillemat.

La delantera y ahora Junior del equipo de soccer en Creighton University en Nebraska dejó muy buena impresión en Puerto Rico. Love es una atacante veloz, de buen desplazamiento entre líneas e instinto al remate.

"It was eye opening. It was a bit of a struggle at first since I am not fluent in Spanish, but it got easier because everyone around me was patient and helpful," recordó Love Espinal sobre su estadía en la Isla.

"The soccer was also different, but I learned so much and was able to bring back new techniques to the States. The young women I played with were really talented so I was honored to play with them."

Juelle es natural de Filadelfia, Pennsylvania, donde dio sus primeros pasos en el fútbol competitivo. Cuando era Senior en la escuela superior The Shipley School, Love fue capitana de sus Gators rumbo al campeonato de la Friends League. A nivel de club jugó con el FC Pennsylvania Strikers, siendo parte de la corrida hasta el campeonato 2016 de la Eastern Pennsylvania State. También formó parte del Olympic Development Program (Team NJ) por tres años (2012-15).

"I'm from Philadelphia, and I've been playing soccer there since I was 4. My grandma (from her mother's side) is from Puerto Rico along with other relatives who I got the chance to reconnect with when I went to Puerto Rico earlier this year," relató Love Espinal.

Al momento de auto describirse, así se ve Juelle como futbolista.

"I believe I am a fast, hardworking, and aggressive player. I love being fearless and trying new tricks and skills on the field. I really pride myself on learning something and then trying my best to perfect it."

De ser convocada nuevamente para la pre selección, Juelle estaría trabajando bajo las órdenes del nuevo head coach Carlos Parra, quien lleva tres semanas en Puerto Rico.

"I recently found out about the coaching change so I am excited to hopefully meet him and have some common ground as he is from the States. I've heard only good things about him and his legacy," concluyó Juelle, quien está estudiando un bachillerato en Business Administration.
